The embedding flange is useful if you plan to install the CLIFF/STEEL heater partially inside the sauna platform. The embedding flange is made of stainless steel and covers the uneven wooden edges around the heater, creating a clean and smooth finish.
When the heater is embedded, at least 550 mm / 21.7 in of the heater should protrude from the sauna bench surface.
